Each Make It Happen project should have 1-2 project owners. These individuals are leaders within their teams and are preferably from two different class years. They manage everything from the main interface and content creation for their page, to develop prospect lists for solicitation, promoting their project via social media and being the main point of contact for their project. The project owners will meet with a UNH crowdfunding mentor on a regular basis.

PROJECT INFORMATION (GENERAL)
Make It Happen projects must support UNH’s overall mission by improving our community—on campus and beyond. Crowdfunding does more than bring in funds—it also serves as a marketing tool to raise awareness of your mission. Crowdfunding is most effective for funding specific projects or campaigns and crowdfunding does not work well for general unrestricted fundraising. It is best to be clear and specific about what you are trying to fund. Today’s donors want transparency about where their money is going and how it will make a difference.

PROJECT INFORMATION (FINANCIAL)
Typical crowdfunding projects raise between, but are not limited to, $2,000 - $10,000. Of course this number will depend entirely on the size of your potential donor pool, your team contacts and the amount of team effort devoted to the project. It is best to set modest, attainable and realistic goals—and transcend them. Your donors will be inspired to support a project if it reflects success and momentum.
100% of the money you raise—whether or not you hit your goal—goes directly into your group’s UNH-designated fund. As an added bonus, donations made to your crowdfunding project count as tax-deductible gifts in support of UNH.
